What happens

The city calls it one of the area’s most anticipated fireworks shows. Its sponsorship packet lists it among the city’s highest-attended events, with more than 7,000 people.

In 2026, the city’s America250 year, the lineup was:

  • Live music from 293 Band on Crabapple Field: from 6 p.m., a break at 7:30 p.m., then 8 to about 9:30 p.m. Main stage audio is piped to the other viewing areas.
  • A patriotic performance by Timothy Miller, the Atlanta tenor known for singing “God Bless America” at Atlanta Braves games.
  • Family activities: a giant fun slide on Crabapple Field, throwing games, two spin art stations, stilt walkers and free funnel cakes while they lasted.
  • Food trucks: 15 in 2026, from tacos and hibachi to Kona Ice and King of Pops.
  • Fireworks at sunset.

Best places to watch

The best viewing areas inside the park, the city says, are Crabapple Field, Multi-Sport Field 1, Multi-Sport Field 2, Field 3 (the baseball field) and parts of the Roswell North field. Viewing and obstructed areas are marked on the fields. Bring chairs and blankets.

Parking and rideshare

From the city’s 2026 plan:

  • In the park: parking at Roswell Area Park until all lots are full. Staff assign spaces in the park and school lots; once full, the park closes to incoming traffic.
  • Accessible parking: next to the Physical Activity Center, until full. Tell staff as you pull in.
  • Overflow, from 5 p.m.: Woodstock Soccer Complex (40 Woodstock St.), Crabapple Center (10700 Crabapple Road), the new Crabapple Middle School (10790 Woodstock Road) and Roswell North Elementary (10525 Woodstock Road).
  • Rideshare drop-off and pickup: Roswell North Elementary and Crabapple Center, open for drop-off even when the lots are full.
  • Neighborhoods: parking is restricted on streets near the park. Police direct traffic after the show.

Closures on the day

In 2026:

  • The back of the park past the Physical Activity Center closed the night of Friday, July 3; traffic was rerouted along Emmett Rushin Circle.
  • The multi-sport field 1 and 2 lot closed at 8 a.m. July 4 for setup.
  • The walking trail around the back of the park closed at 11 a.m.
  • The pool closed at 3 p.m.
  • The park and all parking inside it closed at 6 p.m.

Rules

  • Allowed: outside food, chairs, blankets and tents, but tents must come down by 8:15 p.m. so they do not block the view, and no stakes.
  • Not allowed: alcohol, tailgating in the lots, drones, outside fireworks or sparklers, dogs, outside grills and overnight parking. The rules apply in the park and the city’s designated lots.
  • Weather: held rain or shine. The fireworks may be canceled for a significant weather emergency or if the Fire Department judges conditions too dry.
