Two Cities Pizza applied to serve alcohol at 1105 Canton St., and Atlanta Golf & Social applied at Southern Post. Five Roswell applications went before the city's license board Thursday.

A pizza restaurant from Suwanee and an indoor golf bar have applied to serve alcohol in downtown Roswell. Their applications went before the city’s Alcoholic Beverage License Board at a public hearing Thursday morning.

The board’s Nov. 5 agenda listed five applications. Four are marked “New Business.” The fifth is an existing taphouse with a new owner.

The city had not posted the board’s decisions by Thursday evening. The minutes will show the votes.

Two Cities Pizza on Canton Street

Two Cities Pizza serves New York thin crust and Chicago deep dish under one roof, its own website says. Two friends from Cincinnati started it, and the first restaurant opened in 2015.

The company lists three restaurants today. Two are in Mason and West Chester, Ohio. The third is in Suwanee, about 17 miles east of Roswell. Its website does not yet mention Roswell. The license application, filed by Two Cities Pizza Roswell, LLC, is the first public sign of a Canton Street restaurant.

Co-founder Zach Greves, named on the company’s website, is the applicant listed on the city’s agenda. Neither the agenda nor the company gives an opening date.

A golf bar near Canton Street

Atlanta Golf & Social runs indoor golf with Trackman simulator bays and a bar. Its website lists a Roswell location “steps away from Canton Street,” opening fall 2026. It lists a Dunwoody Village location, about seven miles southeast, on the same timeline.

Its only open location is at 5346 Peachtree Road in Chamblee, about 10 miles southeast of Roswell. The company also lists a West End site in Atlanta as coming soon.

The Roswell application gives 1025 Alpharetta St., which the building’s leasing listing places in the Southern Post development downtown.

The other three

  • Liquor Lab applied for a package store license at 1007 Alpharetta St., with home delivery and tastings. We could not find a website for the business.
  • Corner Sushi & Hibachi applied to serve alcohol at 1425 Market Blvd. The city lists it as a new business.
  • Proper Hop Taphouse at 587 Atlanta St. is an existing business. The application covers a change of owner, under a new company, AtlantaStTap, LLC.

How licensing works in Roswell

A new alcohol license needs a public hearing before the license board before a business can serve or sell alcohol, the city’s alcohol license page says. The board decides the application itself. Its three voting members are the city administrator, the finance director and the community development director, or their designees. The police chief and the city attorney sit in without a vote.

The board meets at 10 a.m. on the first Thursday of each month at City Hall. Applicants pay a $300 fee, and staff who pour or handle alcohol need a separate police permit.

A license is not an opening. A restaurant still needs its building permits and inspections before it can open its doors.
